Tractor Implement Maintenance

Tractor implements need to be ‘maintained’ on a consistent basis. This involves cleaning, removing dirt (which causes rust), greasing, and ideally leaving them in a covered environment while they’re not being used.

Even if only one person on your farm is responsible for maintaining tractor implements it is still important to have a record of when these things happened to use as a reference. Below is an example of a maintenance log used for checking off and dating when you clean, grease, or replace parts on your implements. Keep your log and a writing utensil on a clipboard near where your keep your tractor implements and don’t forget to keep it up to date.
